AWS-HYDRO water mist pump is a positive displacement pump axial piston type. Positive displacement axial piston pumps are used to give a smooth flow at the operating pressure.
The positive displacement design means that output flow is proportional to the rotational speed of the pump. Therefore our larger pumps are speed controlled by an inverter so that the throughput can be set to match your application. It means that you can save both power and water.
Housed in stainless steel cases, and composed of stainless steel and PEEK in the internal structure, the pumps are designed to be easy to install and maintain, whilst being rugged for the most demanding of applications.

What is water mist?
Water mist is a highly efficient fire suppression system that uses specially designed nozzles to create a fine mist. water mist systems deliver fire suppression by removing both heat and oxygen from a fire by jetting pressurized water through specially designed nozzles. The nozzles atomize the water into micron-sized droplets, which rapidly expand into steam when they come into contact with fire, depriving the fire of oxygen. At the high pressure water mist system as the extinguishing factor, water (changed into water mist) is used. The pump is a 9-piston, stainless steel maintenance-free. The system performance is enhanced using these oil-free, water-lubricated pumps. The 9-piston pumps deliver a smooth water output with reduced pulsation, which plays a major role in creating an effective water mist spray pattern. As the pumps are water lubricated, there is a reduced potential for cross-contamination of water and lubricating oil. All the pumps are maintenance-free and are manufactured from 304 Stainless Steel.

Pump makes pressure from inlet 3bar to outlet pressure 70bar. The flow of pump from 1l/h to 8000l/h depend on different models of water mist pumps. The pressure difference is too big from 70bar to 1bar then water turning to fog. The quantity of nozzles could be from 1 to 1000 nozzles.
