Pumps are a critical component of how our world functions today. It’s essential that you choose the right pump for your application to ensure it can handle tasks with minimal breakage, downtime, or fluid contamination.
There are many varieties of pumps on the market, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. Failing to select the appropriate pump for a given use case can result in inefficient operation at best, and catastrophic equipment failure at worst.
All you need to know about pumps, and how to select the right one for your application. We invite you to review some of our pump case studies.
Case One
High Pressure Water Pump for Fire Fighting
At the heart of the high pressure water mist fire suppression system on the right lies the 9-piston, stainless steel maintenance free ultra high pressure fire pump. The system consists of 8 pieces of AHP80 fire fighting water pumps in parallel, with a total flow of 47 m³/h, one of which is a backup pump. The system performance is enhanced by the use of these oil free, water lubricated high pressure pumps. The 9-piston fire fighting water pumps deliver a smooth water output with reduced pulsation, which plays a major role in creating an effective water mist spray pattern. As the high pressure water pumps for fire fighting are water lubricated, there is a reduced potential of cross contamination of water and lubricating oil. All the fire fighting water pumps are maintenance free and are manufactured from 304 Stainless Steel.
